hoooooo brah i stay scuba certified now, i'm one uncle now bu!! cheee i like catch nemo now! hahaha sooo i realize its been a while between posts, but i figured you wouldnt wanna be bored by a regular "this weekend...i stayed in and did hmwk (yupshua) and cooked and ate" post. so i didnt post those kinda posts. BUT this weekend I ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING ZOMG. i told myself, "self, you need to get rid of this grandpa status and get out and do something with your life" so i went over to maggie for 3 days to get scuba certified. the course was supposed to take the full 3 days, but since i'm apparently scuba boy extrordinare i finished in basically 2 days. actually it was more due to the weather, so the dive instructer said we were gonna dive then do the theory, instead of the other way around. the first day we knocked out all the vids and the dumb pool dives, then got in a ocean dive. the next day we got in 3 ocean dives, and that was pretty much pau hanas. the visibility wasnt too great but i still got to see some cool stuff. i was a couple big crayfish (they call spiny lobster that here) and a baby nurse shark and some fatty sweetlips and batfish and assorted butterfly/angel fish and a decent sized wobbegong (a type of shark thats actually kinda like a ray) and a small ray or two. since i finished early, i managed to hook up with jill and jamie who came over to maggie on sunday to cruise. we did a hike to this seculuded beach zone which was super sick, then walked to an even more secluded beach zone that had some crappy little windswell beachbreak about 6 inches high. BUT since i hadn't seen waves since the first week of july, of course i still went out and got barreled clark little style. then we went back to horseshoe bay and had some mad fish'n'chips grindz. anyways i think thats enough writing for one post, here's the pics. also im gonna be a total instaslut and say if you have insta i post some pics on there that don't make it here so follow me @capnjawwed #cheehu#shootzboiz#instaslut#whyamihashtaggingmyblog
